The Story of the Undocumented Child
How God Provided When Nothing Else Could
By Chimdi Mfebe
Brought from Nigeria to America at six years old, Chimdi grew up undocumented — carrying questions of identity and belonging while her family made quiet sacrifices to keep hope alive. Called and Covered follows that journey through faith, loss, the long road into nursing, and the perseverance it demanded, revealing God's provision in the seasons when nothing else could provide.
Available for Kindle preorder now on Amazon. Releases October 2, 2026.
Featured Author
Chimdi Mfebe
Chimdi Mfebe is an author, wife, mother, daughter, sister, mentor, speaker, nurse practitioner, AI strategist, businesswoman, and minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her life and work are rooted in faith, purpose, service, and the belief that even the most difficult seasons can become part of a greater calling.
Drawing from her experiences as an immigrant, healthcare professional, entrepreneur, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and woman of faith, Chimdi uses her voice to encourage others to recognize purpose even in seasons of uncertainty, delay, and transition.
In Called and Covered, she opens the pages of her own story—sharing the journey from a six-year-old girl who left Nigeria for America to the woman she has become, and the extraordinary ways God’s covering remained present through every detour.
